This car is my daily driver and is used for going to both school and work. We bought it from a police department in Florida. We modified the engine, chassis, and body. There are no other vehicles like this one. Since it is so unique, people  often stop to talk to me at gas stations.  Some kids take photos or stop by the house when they see it in our driveway.

We cut the trunk floorpan out if it.  We made and welded in a wedge-shaped raised rear pan that allowed a very special exhaust to be fabricated into place. The exhaust tips extend through the area which used to hold the license plate. Shifting the license plate upward onto the trunk lid and lifting the hoodline, as well as some of the other modifications, were all intended to give the car a lower, sleeker overall look.

The engine was a police spec 3.5 liter high output. Modifications include making a custom "cold-air" intake from aluminum tubing, silicone couplers and a high flow air filter. The exhaust was modified by doing the following:  welding in an x-pipe splitter just behind the dual catalytic converters, capping an outlet with an electric cutout, then running the other side through glass pack type straight-through mufflers. There is a switch on the console which allows for the choice of tame or wild sound.

The suspension was lowered on all four corners by cutting the coil springs in the struts. It was not an easy job. The rear track was widened by using decreased offset wheels, which are intended normally for rear wheel drive cars. The pattern was matched as closely to the high offset front police rims as possible. The lowered look and the wide track give the car a unique, mean-looking stance.

The front end of the car received a total custom treatment. First, projector type headlights were installed. Then a custom hood scoop was welded onto the original hood skin.

A fiberglass custom front end was temporarily added.

This front end was removed after this photo because it was too "tall". The pieces were then horizontally sectioned.  A wedge cut took 2-1/2 to just over 3 inches out of it to reduce height and add ground clearance. Even custom parts have to be further customized before they "work"!

When time allows I have a next phase planned which includes radical surgery to the sides of the car.
